A Note from the

Marketing & Engagement Coordinator

Last week, we had the pleasure of exhibiting at the Academic Library Association of Ohio (ALAO) Conference, and it was such an energizing experience! My colleague Hillary and I loved hearing about your work, your challenges, and your innovative ideas for the future.

One recurring theme throughout the conference was artificial intelligence and its growing impact on higher education. It’s clear that AI is on everyone’s minds, and it was interesting to hear how so many of you are thoughtfully engaging with these new technologies while staying rooted in the values that make libraries such trusted institutions.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our table to say hello and learn more about NEO-RLS. Your enthusiasm reminds us why our network is so strong. And thank you to OCLC for hosting the event at their wonderful conference center (who doesn’t love a taco bar for lunch?).

Next week, the Ohio Library Council (OLC) Convention & Expo will be up here in Northeast Ohio! If you’re planning to attend, please stop by and visit us at Booth #507. We’d love to connect with you and share how NEO-RLS supports libraries of all types across the region.

See you soon!

Jill

Additionally, as the State Library continues to navigate the Federal Government shutdown and lingering uncertainty regarding the future of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), the State Library has created a series of brief videos highlighting how they utilize federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funds in order to support all of Ohio's libraries.
