A Note from the

Marketing and Engagement Coordinator

One of my favorite parts of my role here at NEO-RLS is connecting with vendors and finding new ways to bring added value to our members. I’m thrilled to share that we’ve recently added several new vendors to our Vendor Discount Program!

  • Bibliotheca
  • ByWater Solutions
  • DataServ
  • Tutor.com (available only for public libraries at this time)

The vendor discount program is one of the many benefits available exclusively to our dues-paying Gold, Silver, and Bronze member libraries, and it continues to grow thanks to the ongoing support and feedback of our members. These vendor partnerships are designed to help stretch budgets, discover innovative products, drive engagement with patrons, and connect our members with companies that understand and serve the library community.

Recently, Letters of Intent were sent out to help us plan for next fiscal year’s memberships. These commitments are vital: they help us plan for the future and continue providing meaningful benefits to our members across Northeast Ohio, including our vendor discount program.

If your library hasn’t yet submitted its Letter of Intent, we encourage you to do so soon. And if you’re not yet part of our dues-paying membership tiers, now’s a great time to consider joining! Together, we’re building stronger libraries and stronger communities across our region.

Early Literacy 101 is a full-day workshop open to all Ohio public library workers and offered at no cost to attendees. Upcoming workshops include:

  • Monday, November 3 at the Liberty Branch, Delaware County District Library, Powell (central Ohio). Registration is open for Liberty!
  • Friday, November 14 at the Pickaway County Library, Circleville (central Ohio). Registration is open for Circleville!
  • Registration now open! Thursday, December 4 at the Cuyahoga County Public Library Administration Building, Parma (northeast Ohio). Registration is open for Parma!

Early Literacy 101 is for new and seasoned library workers in children’s services and outreach. Northeast Ohio Libraries Featured in American Stories: A Reading Road Trip

PBS Books and the Library of Congress recently made a stop here in Ohio with their American Stories: A Reading Road Trip series. The episode shines a spotlight on Ohio’s powerful role in shaping American literature, and the Ohio Center for the Book at Cleveland Public Library and the Toni Morrison Reading Room at Lorain Public Library were both featured in the episode.
