A Note from the Executive Director
As we plan for the upcoming year, we invite NEO-RLS members to become more involved by volunteering for one of our Board Committees or Advisory Groups. These groups are essential in shaping our services and ensuring we meet the changing needs of our region’s libraries. -
Volunteering is open to everyone! This is a fantastic opportunity to build leadership skills, and we encourage library staff at all levels to participate.
- We ask volunteers to commit to at least one year.

Meetings are usually held twice a year, except for the Finance Committee, which meets four times annually.
- Board Committee meetings are conducted in person, while Advisory Groups meet virtually.
- We ask that volunteers actively attend meetings, review materials, and engage in discussions.

We are also currently seeking volunteers for our Annual Star Awards Selection Group. This group will review nominations and select the winners of our Rising Star, Shooting Star, and Super Star Awards. This is an exciting opportunity to help us recognize outstanding achievements across the region.
