OhioNet Diversity Assessment: Call for Participation
OhioNet is leading an Anti-Racism, Diversity, and Inclusion (ADEI) Assessment to learn more about best practices that empower both BIPOC librarians and Ohio libraries to thrive as an inclusive community. We need your help to include the voices of our valued BIPOC library community.
As part of this special study, in January and February 2024 the ADEI consulting team will conduct interviews with librarians from historically marginalized communities. The goal is to learn more about their career experiences and identify impactful organizational practices that best support an inclusive workforce.
If you are a librarian from a historically marginalized community and would like to be interviewed for this assessment or if you would like to nominate a BIPOC librarian colleague to be interviewed, please complete this form by January 12th, 2024.
Interviews will take about one hour over zoom and be administered by a DEI librarian practitioner in Ohio.
The assessment team is looking forward to talking with a wide variety of BIPOC librarians from across the state and from different types of libraries (e.g., K-12, public, academic, special). Selected participants will be contacted by the end of January to schedule an interview.
Thank you in advance for your contributions to this project and to helping create inclusive library communities throughout Ohio.
