Heights Libraries has an opening for a part-time Technology Associate in our Heights Knowledge and Innovation Center (HKIC) located at our Lee Road branch. The HKIC is home to a Multi-Media Lab, a STEAM/Maker Lab, and computers running both Windows and Mac OS. In this position, you will be assisting customers in person and over the phone with computer/technology-related questions; and assisting customers with scanners and other related office equipment.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Excellent interpersonal and customer services skills required with the ability to interact effectively with all customer age groups.
Must be patient and adaptable to working with customers of varying degrees of computer and office equipment skill and knowledge.
Ability to provide customer support with technology and software applications.
Must be comfortable working in an environment where you will be moving from task to task.
Physical requirements include the ability to stand, sit, bend, and push.
Technology Associates will be expected to work a schedule of 20 hours per week including weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
Knowledge Requirements
Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Windows and Mac operating systems
Experience with multi-media equipment and software (preferred)

Salary
Starting salary is $18.20 per hour, but will consider commensurate knowledge, skills, and experience. Part-time is 20 hours per week; schedule covers mornings, afternoons, and evening shifts including weekends.
