Adult Services - Warren, Ohio---
The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library (WTCPL) is seeking a knowledgeable, service-oriented Full-Time Adult Services Librarian to join our Adult Services Department. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality library services, programs, and collections that meet the needs and interests of our community.

Essential Job Duties
· Provides reference and reader’s advisory services to customers of all ages, both in person and via telephone and email.
· Instructs users individually and in groups in the use of library materials and equipment, including digital resources and online research tools.
· Presents information about library services and programs to individuals and groups.
· Prepares displays, bibliographies, flyers, brochures, and other public relations materials as requested.
· Plans and presents programs for adults.
· Recommends materials for purchase, including books, magazines, and media, based on professional reviews and current customer needs and interests.
· Assists with collection maintenance, including inventory, evaluation, and weeding.
· Maintains a working knowledge of library materials, trends in public services, and developments in the profession through in-service workshops, meetings, conferences, professional literature, and organizational memberships.
· Performs specialized activities related to specific parts of the collection (e.g., periodicals), as assigned.
Qualifications
· Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program.
· Knowledge of the principles of collection development.
· Knowledge of reference services and best practices.
· Knowledge of online and digital resources in a library setting.
· Proficiency in using the Internet and various software programs.
· Prior public library experience is helpful.
Compensation & Benefits
· Salary: Starting at $22.12 per hour
