GENERAL SUMMARY
Under limited supervision maintains all aspects of the Library’s social media presence and distributes content across all digital media platforms. Spark curiosity, build awareness and encourage audiences to engage with CCPL in a variety of ways through social media. Work independently and collaboratively to produce strategic and creative digital content that integrates with marketing, communications and fundraising campaigns in new and traditional ways. Supervises CER Coordinators.

•Ability to use a personal computer and job-related software or systems applicable to the essential functions of the job, which may include, but not be limited to email/calendar software, internet/intranet browsers, word processing, spreadsheets, database software, and various systems of software used by CCPL.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
•Develop strategies and produce content using tools, tactics, and technologies that increase the Library’s local and national presence, following, and engagement across social media platforms.
•Leverage emerging trends and best practices to raise local awareness of the Library’s staff, services, resources, programs, and community impact.
•Supervise the work of team members focused on web, print and email communications.
•Use digital media management software and analytics tools to measure and report performance and to inform future content and strategies.
•Collaborate with strategic partners (internal and external) to deliver content that supports and aligns with the Library's mission, vision, strategic priorities, action plans and brand messaging.
•Generate, refine, and post text, photos, videos, and graphics. Shoot and edit raw footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects.
•Maintain a social media editorial calendar and shared posting schedule.
•Recommend the addition or removal of a library’s social media platforms based on the library’s mission, vision, values and action plans.
•Own projects from inception through completion.
•Keep current with emerging digital media behavior, trends, and technologies – both inside and outside of the Library industry.
•Work both independently and collaboratively with coworkers with minimal supervision.
•Write and produce digital content for a range of target audiences.
•Be proficient with image and video editing software (Photoshop/Adobe Premiere Pro).
•Use of reliable transportation to promptly report to job assignments and travel between library locations, per job requirements.
•Ability to respond to social media inquiries during off-hours as needed.
•Monitor and respond to social media comments, questions and feedback.
•Supervises and directs the work of CER Coordinators including scheduling staff, assigning work priorities and tasks, evaluating staff performance and verifying payroll timecards.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Summary Minimum Education & Experience Required
•Bachelor’s degree, in marketing or a combination of education and experience.
•3-5 years of digital marketing and content management experience.
•2-3 years of supervisory experience.
•Experience with using purposeful storytelling to drive organizational impact and business results, translating information and material into compelling content for internal and external audiences.

OTHER TESTING/LICENSES REQUIRED
•A criminal background check is required and pre-employment drug screens.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
•The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of offices, which includes the need for general safe workplace practices with office equipment and computers, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations.
•The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
•This position is performed in an office setting although off-site meetings in various settings occur.
•Lift light objects [less than 20 pounds] and carry them short distances [20 feet or less].
•The schedule is generally normal business hours Monday through Friday although there is a requirement to perform work, attend meetings and events before or after normal workings hours, and occasionally on weekends and evenings.
•The position generally requires 40.0 hours in a workweek.
•Some occasional travel among branches is required.
