The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library (W-TCPL) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Deputy Director.

About Us Established in 1890, W-TCPL is a thriving library system that includes six library locations, a Bookmobile, and Outreach Services such as Library-By-Mail. With a dedicated staff of 124 (full- and part-time) and an annual budget of approximately $8.8 million, the Library provides access to materials, programs, and services to meet the informational, cultural, and educational needs of Trumbull County residents. Position Overview Reporting to the Executive Director, the Deputy Director oversees the day-to-day public service operations of the Warren Library, Mobile Library Services, branch locations, and system-wide youth and adult services. This role is a key part of library leadership, contributing to planning, decision-making, and policy development, and serving as acting Executive Director in their absence.


Key Responsibilities
· Ensure the effective administration and operation of library services and facilities
· Resolve routine and complex operational issues in a timely manner
· Assist in developing and administering library policies, procedures, and budget
· Foster collaboration and teamwork across departments
· Build and maintain positive relationships within the community

Qualifications
· Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program (required)
· Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible public library management experience (required)
· Demonstrated leadership and consensus-building skills
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to assess community needs and support development of collections and programs
· Experience representing the library with community groups and partner organizations
· Successful completion of a background check, including employment/education verification and a criminal history review

Compensation & Benefits
· Salary: Starting at $77,034, commensurate with experience
· Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS): 10% employee contribution; 14% employer contribution
