The Technology Associate provides technical support to the Digital Services Department to implement, organize, and sustain the librarys electronic environment; assists customers in the Creation Spaces; support services in the Tech Hub; and helps with technology training on an individual basis for library staff and customers in our busy inner-ring suburban library. Responsibilities include:
Responding to help desk tickets and logging computer problems
Preparing and distributing new hardware including desktops, printers, and mobile devices
Monitoring day-to-day operations of library equipment and systems
Assisting customers in using library equipment, software, databases, and electronic library materials, including in the Creation Spaces
Assisting customers by doing basic troubleshooting of hardware and software on library equipment
Providing training to the public and staff on new technology and services
Job Qualifications:
Associate degree or 2 years of college
A minimum of one (1) year experience providing technical support for problems with hardware and software and responding to service requests in a timely manner.
Familiarity with
computer image deployment process - building, gathering, and deploying images
installation and configuration of computer hardware and software
internet and social media applications, electronic resources, and other web-related technologies
