The Burton Public Library seeks a motivated, service oriented individual to work as our Children\'s Services Assistant.

Primary Function:
Assist children and other patrons in the use of the library and its resources. Assist with program planning and implementation

Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree
Relevant experience working with children
Knowledge of children\'s literature
Knowledge of computers and applicable technologies
Ability to work days, evenings and weekends as required

Hours:
This a part-time position (20 hours/week, occasionally more)
Available to work occasional weekends

Salary:
Starts at $16 per hour

Physical Requirements:
Work requires physical effort in the repetitive handling of materials or boxes and tools or equipment of up to 30 pounds in non-strenuous work positions and/or continual standing or walking
