Shaker Heights Public Library is seeking a Communications and Marketing Manager. This position is responsible for the creation and execution of a comprehensive communication and marketing program in support of the library\'s strategic goals and initiatives. This position designs, produces, edits, and distributes publicity materials and ensures consistent messaging across all platforms, including management of website content, social media, and graphic displays. The Communications and Marketing Manager is responsible for media relations and for creating and maintaining the library\'s brand and keeping it consistent, both inside and outside the library.

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in communications, marketing, public relations, or closely related field required. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Previous Experience and Training:
A minimum three years of experience in communications, public relations or marketing required, with progressive levels of responsibility required. Must be technologically adept and have intermediate to advanced computer skills using current versions of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite. Working knowledge of graphic design, social media are required. Reliable transportation and a valid Ohio driver\'s license required. Must be insurable under the library\'s policy. A willingness to adopt new technologies as the trends emerge is essential.

Preferred Experience:
Experience working with local media outlets and serving as a media point of contact.
Prior public library or other non-profit marketing experience.
Experience with successful grant writing.
Experience with WordPress, photography, videography, video and audio editing.

Hours: Full-time, 4o hours per week

Salary range: $25.27 - $30.96 Hourly
