JOB TITLE: ADULT SERVICES MANAGER
HOURS: Full-time; Exempt
SALARY: $68,000 or Commensurate with experience
BENEFITS: Health insurance, Standard leave benefits
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree in in Library Science from an ALA accredited school.
Appropriate library and supervisory experience.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sandusky Library is seeking an Adult Services Manager. This position reports to the Assistant Director and serves as part of the library’s management team. The Adult Services Manager assists the Executive Director in overseeing all aspects of services for adults, including collection development, program development, and training and supervision of department staff.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to maintain confidentiality, solve complex problems, and use appropriate judgment in handling situations. Ability to supervise and direct staff. Ability to communicate effectively and implement the library’s policies and philosophy of service.
Keeps informed of developments in library practices and participates in continuing education. Interest in obtaining Librarian Certification through Ohio Library Council.
