Reference and Instruction Librarian - Archer Library
Description:
The Reference and Instruction Librarian teaches research and information literacy skills to undergraduate and graduate students on the main campus and at regional sites. The person in this faculty librarian position provides reference service, course-integrated instruction, and collection development both in-person and remotely. This position serves as liaison to several academic departments to develop the collection and raise faculty awareness of the Archer Library resources and services.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Library Science from and ALA-accredited institution
Demonstrated commitment to student-centered teaching and library outreach
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong public service ethic
Willingness to learn new library and teaching technologies
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, work remotely, and travel to regional University sites
The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with library instruction, especially for health education and nursing courses
Familiarity with library applications (e.g., LibGuides) and learning management systems such as BlackBoard Learn
Ability to plan and implement programs
