Presented by
Jim and Chris Hopper, Gumdrop Books

Jim Hopper-Jim has been a hands-on Gumdrop Manager in Ohio since 2017. He started serving libraries for Gumdrop in 2004. He began his career as a Certified Public Accountant for 10 years. His desire to work directly with people and focus on traditional customer service and not solely the “bottom line” have led him to a life as a sales professional.  He is very disappointed with the decline in national literacy rates and vows to help our young readers today find books that will inspire them to read. He views his relationships with publishers to be a large asset for his customers. He is very grateful for each of his customers that he can proudly call his friend.

Chris Hopper-Chris joined his Dad and the Gumdrop family in 2014. Upon his graduation from the University of Pittsburgh, he began serving Librarians in Western and Central New York. He has authored two professional development sessions that have allowed our team to keep librarians informed of new publisher enhancements and applications. He has been instrumental in helping customers and colleagues navigate technology upgrades and better utilize digital resources.

Jim and Chris have created numerous book review options since 2016. Each book review option helps the librarian seek input from third parties and enhance their purchasing process. A primary purpose of each book review is help increase circulation of new books.
