Imagine Your Story Overview
Carly Rogers, Youth Services Librarian at Sandusky Library & member of the 2020 CSLP manual committee, will share an overview of this year's redesigned "Imagine Your Story" manual for summer learning program. In addition, information will be shared about free resources, incentives, grants, and more related to this year's theme.
Presenter:
Carly Rogers is a Youth Services Librarian at the Sandusky Library in Sandusky, Ohio. She has served on the CSLP children's & early literacy manual committees for the past few years. Carly holds an MLIS from Kent State University and is an Ohio Certified Public Librarian.
Science is Magic
Explore the intersection of science, art, and nature with these practical projects and ideas for a truly magical summer. You will be provided with instructions for a variety of activities from crystal growing to creating a candy chemistry lab.
2D Stop Motion Animation
This is an introduction on how to use paper to create a 2-dimensional stop motion video. This activity will help inspire kids (and their adults) to imagine their story in an affordable and time-sensitive fashion.
Table Trivia Challenge
Join your tablemates for a battle of wits that tests your knowledge of fantasy, fairy tales, and mythology. This challenge consists of 26 questions with an answer representing each letter of the alphabet. The winning table will receive a small prize.

Niccole Paytosh is a Library Associate at the South Lorain Branch of the Lorain Public Library System where she has worked for 8 years. She has spent the last four years working closely with families and youth of all ages. Her passion is a weekly family program where she enriches the lives of her patrons with activities that are consistently creative, innovative, and fun.
Mother Goose and Friends
Traditional nursery rhymes are an ideal format to help children develop pre-reading skills. They also stimulate imagination and creative thinking. The Children’s Staff from Hubbard Public Library will present an engaging program that shares the fun of nursery rhymes for audiences of all ages.

Mary Anne Russo, Children’s Supervisor at Hubbard Public Library, earned her MLS from Clarion University. She worked at Ritter Public Library for 4 years before devoting the rest of her 36-year career to Hubbard Public Library. Having seen many changes in library services over those years, she implements programming that focuses on the essence of Children’s Services: a book, a child, and a caring adult sharing the joy of reading together.
Dana Tirabassi, Head Children’s Services Assistant at Hubbard Public Library, has 15 years of experience. She enjoys finding non-traditional ways to extend the magic of a book beyond its pages through creative displays and innovative programming.
Amanda Balla, Children’s Services Assistant for the past 3 years at Hubbard Public Library, discovered she liked working at the library so much that she enrolled in the MLIS program at Kent State and will graduate in August.
Minds in Motion
Experience a creative movement program for children ages 2-5 that helps develop kinesthetic awareness and coordination, along with language, listening, and communication skills. Learn how our series format allows children to build skills over the course of the program.
