Event Description

Please join SWON Libraries and Girls Who Code in growing our partnership to help launch FREE after-school Clubs! During the webinar, you'll learn all you need to know to start a 3rd-5th grade or 6th-12th Club, and also have the chance to pose questions to the Ohio Regional Partnership Coordinator from Girls Who Code.

In this webinar, you'll learn about Girls Who Code and our mission to close the gender gap in technology. By the end of the webinar, you'll know all you need to know for your library to launch its own Club(s)! You will learn about our completely free programming and impact-based curriculum, how easy it is to become a facilitator with no computer science experience, and the measurable way our Clubs are inspiring and equipping the next generation of female leaders. Join us and see why the State Library of Ohio and multiple branches of the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County are already on board to launch their first Clubs!

About the speaker:

Hannah Simon Goldman is the Ohio Regional Partnership Coordinator for Girls Who Code. Born and raised in Cincinnati, she has worked with local non-profits like Women Writing for (a) Change, and graduated from Denison University with a B.A. in Women's and Gender Studies. She likes to frequent the Blue Ash Public Library, where an art project she helped make as a teen still hangs on the wall.
