This webinar will demonstrate how Tony Romandetti (from the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library) created an efficient, portable, quick grab, rolling Medi-System; that houses vital emergency preparedness items in three organized tubs. This system ends the confusion of deciding which emergency items are needed in any situation, since everything that is needed is stored together. This can allow staff more valuable time to react, help those in need, and possibly save lives in various quick response situations. Whether it’s basic first aid, Bloodborne pathogens and other bodily fluid cleanups; or in the worst-case scenario (violent patrons or active shooters) having the right tools close-at-hand will simplify the way we respond in these stressful moments. Learning Objectives:
Tony is also involved in several committees inside the library and out. He is on the Library’s Emergency Preparedness Committee as the Chair of the Training, and Emergency Preparedness Station Sub-Committee. He also plays an integral part of the W-TCPL’s Staff Day Planning Committee, helping to coordinate and plan the events of the Library’s annual Staff Day. Lastly. Tony is part of NEO-RLS’s Continuing Education Advisory Group. When Tony is not directly working with new hires, he focuses on researching, creating, and recommending pertinent continuing education courses, that best apply to the entire staff of the W-TCPL. He also uses his free time to do volunteer work with alongside his coworkers from the W-TCPL for local charities and community groups. Location
