We are excited to be back in-person for the adult summer reading program! This year we will be returning to our programming palooza model. In the morning, you will have the opportunity to hear about 6 to 8 different programs. After lunch, Paula Wagner from Geauga County Public Library will give you rapid fire craft ideas along with a craft for you to make and take. Shelia Privett from Andover Public Library will share a great list of summer reading program ideas. At the end of the day, you will have an opportunity to network and share ideas revolving around summer reading.
Rapid Fire Crafts:
Join Paula for a fast and furious presentation of craft ideas for the Adult Summer Reading theme “All Together Now”.
Each participant will make a craft and will receive a packet of project sheets that include beautiful crafts to make in-house, Take & Make Craft kits, and collaborative and community-wide art projects. A variety of interpretations on the SRP theme will be explored.
Beaded jewelry, macrame, and easy hand painted projects (that will put a smile on your patron’s faces!) are just a few of the crafts that will be shared.
Paula Wagner is the Head of Adult Services/Assistant Branch Manager for the Middlefield Branch of the Geauga County Public Library System. Librarianship is Paula's second career after working as a Software Developer for 10 years. Paula was a runner-up for the Northeastern Ohio Regional Library System's Rising Star Award in 2016; and was featured in an article on OCLC's WebJunction in 2021 for her We’re Not Complete Without You: a collaborative puzzle project. Paula is a newly elected member of the Ohio Library Council's Adult Services Division. She has three grown children and a baby granddaughter, and lives in Hiram Township with her husband Jon and two old cats.
