A Note From the Executive Director
Our continuing education calendar is packed with exciting opportunities through the end of 2023, and we'd like to spotlight a few that you might have missed.
On November 30, 2023, explore the fundamentals of cataloging with Misty Alvaro, Cataloging and Processing Manager for Columbus Metropolitan Libraries. Whether you're new to cataloging or looking to refresh your knowledge, this session covers the "what" and "why" of cataloging, essential vocabulary, and the ability to decipher catalog records.
On December 6, 2023, as part of the 2023-2024 Leadership Academy, join Kim Garrett, Deputy Director for the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, for "Management in Harmony." Learn how to cultivate a cohesive management team, align departmental objectives, build inter-departmental relationships, and establish clear communication channels.
Lastly, on December 12, 2023, discover the resources in your own backyard at special libraries in Northeast Ohio, including Holden Forests & Gardens, Ingalls Library, and Stark County Law Library. These libraries offer a diverse range of materials, from botanical and horticultural collections to vast art resources and comprehensive legal information.
These programs and more can be found on the CE Calendar. Have a great day! Ragan |
