The Ohio Center for the Book would appreciate help spreading the word about this project.

If you are 50 years old or older, you are invited to add your voice to the "Poem for Cleveland" project now taking place "back home."

Online conversations will be facilitated by the Ohio Center for the Book where you will talk about living in or growing up in the Cleveland area with teen and young adult poets. From those conversations, they will create original poems based on your experiences.

This grant-funded project will result in a poetry anthology, a lasting legacy for the history of Cleveland.

ALSC has released its 2023 Notable Children's Books, Recordings, and Digital Media lists.

ALSC volunteer committee members spend a year reviewing myriad materials to find titles for children 14 years of age and younger "of especially commendable quality that demonstrate respect for young people’s intelligence and imagination; exhibit venturesome creativity; and reflect and encourage the interests of children and young adolescents in exemplary ways."
