The Twinsburg Public Library seeks an enthusiastic, motivated manager to lead the Children Services department. This busy department serves children ages 0-11 and their caregivers as well as school officials, teachers, and all others who work with children. This opportunity is full-time with an annual salary of $48,000-$60,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements:

Master\'s degree in library and information science or MLS
Minimum of three years\' progressively responsible experience in youth services
Ability to work two evenings a week and rotating weekends

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Overseeing collection development, scheduling, programming content, and outreach to the community, the selected candidate will work effectively with the creative and dedicated staff in the Children Services department as well as the Teen Services Manager. Twenty-five percent of time is spent in direct public service through story times, programming, or at the children\'s information desk. The successful applicant will serve on the leadership team for public services, serve as a Supervisor in Charge, and assist in making policy and procedure decisions for the department. This position has a strong emphasis on early literacy through working directly with community partners, particularly schools and day cares. The Children Services Manager will have a significant focus on the Library\'s mission and expectations, which include reflecting community values and standards.

The Library serves the Twinsburg City School District, which is made up of the the Cities of Twinsburg and Reminderville as well as Twinsburg Township. This population is diverse, especially in terms of socioeconomics and ethnicity. The library is known for its commitment to a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility for staff and the community.
