Description
The Willoughby-Eastlake Public Library has a great opportunity for a librarian whose interests and skills are focused on collection development and readers advisory. The Collection Services Librarian coordinates system-wide book selection and develops several parts of the libraries’ collections. This librarian also provides programs focused on authors and reading, and works in reference at each of the four libraries.
Responsibilities:
The Collection Services Librarian selects and orders popular print and AV materials for collections in four libraries, and also for home delivery and outreach deposit collections. Developing, maintaining, and analyzing website content is also an important part of this position. This librarian is also responsible for the coordination of standing order plans including periodicals. The Collection Services Librarian will provide programs and coordinate book discussion groups in the library and at outreach locations. This professional provides reference services in the four libraries as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications: ALA-accredited MLS/MLIS is required for this position. Ohio Public Librarian Certification is also required, and may be acquired within 2 years after hire. Prior customer service and computer experience in a library setting is preferred.
Full-time--40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Hiring Range: $23.13-24.25 per hour. Full benefits.
