The Deputy Director is responsible for accomplishing this mission by assisting the Director and Fiscal Officer in ensuring that the overall goals and objectives of the library are met.
We are seeking a proven leader who fosters and supports a team-based organizational culture. The ideal candidate will assist the Director in fostering a climate of participation, creativity, and teamwork among staff. The successful applicant must have the ability to effectively communicate with staff, members of the public, and community and school leaders. In addition, the applicant has to be able to organize and prioritize work, be able to multi-task duties, and have experience in customer service.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in library science from an ALA accredited school, minimum of five (5) years’ experience in library management with progressive levels of responsibility, preferably in a public library. A valid Ohio Certified Public Librarian credential must be acquired within (90) days of hire and a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Work hours: 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday – 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. – Some evenings and weekends may be required.
Salary Pay Range: $84,011 - $149,261
