TEEN ASSOCIATE
Part-time, 24 hours per week
Euclid Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic and empathetic Teen Associate to join the Youth Services team. The successful applicant will have experience working with youth, be able to build rapport with teens, and also enforce library rules. Responsibilities include: answering reference questions at the teen and children’s desk in-person, by phone, email, and online chat including recommending books to youth for leisure and helping to find resources for school assignments, preparing and conducting after school programs for teens, tweens and their families, assisting youth and their families with the use of computers and printers, and promoting library services to the community. Occasionally, the Teen Associate will be responsible for serving as a liaison to the schools by conducting class visits and promoting the library at community events.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications required. Knowledge of pop culture helpful.
Work schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays 5:00pm-9:00pm, Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:00am-6:00pm. This schedule is not flexible however, the schedule is subject to change based on the needs of the library.
Salary: $16.19 per hour
