The Loudonville Public Library Board of Trustees is accepting resumes for a Part-Time Fiscal Officer.

Summary

Loudonville Public Library is a school district free public library located in Ashland County, Ohio, with a service area population of around 7,700, including portions of Holmes, Knox, and Richland counties. The library employs sixteen (16) staff members in total and operates with annual revenue around $1M.

Schedule: 20 hours per week, flexible, with some opportunity for remote work

Reports to: Board of Trustees Direct Reports: Yes, Acquisitions Assistant

Pay: Determined by Board of Trustees, commensurate on experience

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, management, or another related field

Two (2) years business or governmental administration with progressive levels of responsibility

-or- an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Must meet bonding requirements

Primary Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

Managing financial and payroll functions including recordkeeping, ensuring compliance.

Creating and maintaining procedures for day-to-day receipts and expenditures and monthly reconciliation of all financial records, annual reconciliation, and reporting.

Providing monthly financial reports at board meetings.

Drafting annual appropriations, working with the Director and the Board of Trustees.

Handles payroll and serves as human resources liaison.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Mathematical and analytical aptitude, and attention to detail

Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and email functions

Work independently and efficiently

Communicate effectively with vendors, Staff, Director, and Board of Trustees, and the Public

Accounting principles and practices, governmental fund accounting experience preferred

Payroll, including processing and reporting
