Portage County District Library is looking for someone to help us build a better greenhouse, so that we can grow talent among our staff and managers. We are excited to be at the beginning of a new chapter for our system, and are making plans to expand library services across our district.
Location: Administration Offices: Garrettsville, OH
Salary: $55,000 annual salary
Hours: 40 hours per-week, may include some evenings and weekends.
Qualifications: Master of Library Science from an accredited ALA approved Library School. Professional library experience with progressive levels of responsibility and applicable administrative experience.
Job Overview: Assists the Director in developing and implementing library policies, goals, and procedures. Coordinates public service programs, projects, and activities. Works with supervisors to develop objectives to meet goals set by the Director and Board. Serves as personnel officer for the library system, maintaining awareness of personnel laws and regulations. Provides leadership and guidance to supervisors and others in fulfilling their responsibilities. Serves as resource to all employees in matters of policies, benefits, and employment.
