We are Medina County District Library.

WHAT YOU’RE AWESOME AT
- Reading spread sheets with small font and searching the library for materials.
- Using a critical eye to inspect returned materials for wet pages and bite marks.
- Alphabetizing, organizing and tidying a library shelf with alarming perfection.
- Interacting with children but you love cleaning up the toys even more.
- Chatting with people and confidently directing them anywhere in the building.
- Using a computer to communicate with your supervisor and co-workers and complete your timecard.
- Setting up a room for a program.
- Being an independent worker and thriving under little supervision.
WHAT MAKES YOU IDEAL
- You are 16 or older. You have the ability to work a flexible schedule.
- You know the Dewey Decimal system or are enthusiastic about learning something new.
- You can decipher scribbled notes and follow long oral instructions from your coworkers.
- Your work is detailed and you love to problem solve.
- You have no problem pushing heavy carts, lifting tables and chairs with superhuman strength or watering plants. (With or without accommodation).
WHO YOU ARE
- You are a friendly, helpful person with a collaborative spirit.
- You have a passion for books, movies, and lovable characters.
- You hate sitting still and would rather organize something.
- You are creative and inquisitive. You enjoy being around people that have limitless potential.
THE PAY: $8.80 per hour
THE BENEFITS: Vacation, sick leave, holidays; Public Employees Retirement System
THE DEDICATION: 15 hours per week
Flexible schedule may include days, evenings and weekends.
(Schedule subject to change based on needs of the library)
