The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library is looking for a friendly, energetic individual to provide public service on the Bookmobile as a substitute on an as-needed basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Assists with stocking Bookmobile before each assigned route with appropriate materials and supplies. Safely drives the Bookmobile on assigned routes.
• Maintains the Bookmobile - performs checks of vehicle components on a regular schedule, performs routine service and maintenance functions, cleans interior and exterior of vehicle, reports mechanical problems to supervisor and takes vehicle in for repairs as needed.
• Provides reader’s advisory and basic reference assistance to users; places holds and fills requests.
• Performs circulation duties; registers new users; shelves materials.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Ohio Driver's License, with an acceptable driving record required (CDL preferred). Experience driving a bus or large truck is required. Public service experience highly desirable. Must be able to type accurately using a computer keyboard. Ability to count and make change, sort and alphabetize, as demonstrated by completing untimed written skills assessment questionnaires. Knowledge and experience in using computers and various software programs to include the Internet and World Wide Web. Position is subject to required alcohol/drug testing. Considerable agility, mobility and manual dexterity for maintaining the Bookmobile as well as moving around the department and bookmobile. Some agility and flexibility for retrieving materials. Frequent transporting of weights up to 50 pounds. Ability to push/pull loaded dollies and book trucks.
This is a substitute position and will be scheduled on an as needed basis.

This is a part-time sub position and will be scheduled on an as needed basis. Starting hourly rate $12.92.
