Learning Objectives:
  • To model the relationships between library services and information technology systems.
  • To create a plan for service continuity in the event of a hardware failure, disaster or 3rd party service failure.
  • To assess the role of open source software in the library and its potential for cost savings.
Presenter:

Fred Pierre has served as Assistant Head of Library Systems for Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library since May 2011. Fred worked for Google from 2005 to 2006 as a website analyst, and as a support technician for Adobe Systems from 1994 to 1996.
