Event Description

Write it down or it didn’t happen…a guide on inspection documentation

Periodic inspections are highly regarded as a best practice in loss prevention and demonstrates your commitment to providing a safe and healthy environment. Inspection documentation may also prove to be extremely beneficial should legal action be sought against the entity for negligence. Inspections assist public entities in their efforts to comply with their most important requirement: providing a safe and healthy environment free of recognized hazards. Current legislation requires compliance with the safety standards under the Ohio Public Employment Risk Reduction Program (PERRP). PERRP encourages public employers and public employees to reduce workplace hazards and implement new or improve existing safety and health programs. This program was created to assist public entities in their efforts to continually review common exposures.

Following this program join your colleagues for a round table discussion about the latest issues affecting construction and facilities in libraries. Please send agenda items to Shawna Keringer
