10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Eastern
Competency
Programming and Patron Awareness
Event Description
Rhonda Johnston, Adult Outreach Coordinator,  Reed Memorial Library, focuses on connecting historically underserved populations with library resources. She has transformed the story time for adults with developmental disabilities into a fun and engaging learning session that has opened the door for this patron group to become fully integrated with what the library has to offer.  They have seen incredible growth in the patrons.  At first the patrons were very intimidated and did not use the library while they were there.  Now, they participate actively, check out materials on their own cards, and ask questions of the person at the desk.  Join us for this webinar and learn how to engage adults with developmental disabilities at your library.

  • Understanding our patrons
