From learning the basics about the college application process today to programs they can run themselves and with partners, library staff will leave class not only more informed about the on-going changes and evolutions of the college application process, but also excited about using library resources to create a more equitable experience for young adults.\n\nLearning Objectives:\n\n\n	Participants will build a baseline understanding of the contemporary college application process, including vocabulary and general components.\n	Participants will learn about and explore various databases and library resources that will be relevant in serving college curious teens and young adults.\n	Participants will formulate new and explore existing program ideas that can be implemented at libraries to help serve teens interested in learning more about applying to college and completing the process.\n\nPresenter:\n\nAryssa Damron is a children’s librarian with the District of Columbia Public Library system. She serves on the YALSA Alex Awards for 2023, the ALSC Membership Committee, and is involved with the Jane Austen Society of North America. She holds a BA in English from Yale University and a MSLS from the University of Kentucky.
