Ohioana Book Festival
Six months after it was first announced and four months after it was originally to take place, the 2020 Ohioana Book Festival is only a few days away from becoming a “virtual reality.” Ordinarily presented as a day-long event at Columbus Metropolitan Library in April, this year’s festival has been transformed into an online event taking place over three days, from Friday, August 28 through Sunday, August 30. The 140 participating Ohio authors represent every literary genre from novels to nonfiction, picture books to poetry. There will be a blend of live and prerecorded panel discussions, plus live readings and activities. Drop in for a single panel discussion that interests you, or hang out all weekend meeting and hearing from great Ohio authors. You can preregister for live panels now and have the Zoom links sent to your calendar, or browse the event schedule on the festival days and join on the spot.

The event schedule and further information is here: www.ohioana.org/programs/ohioana-book-festival
A list of all participating authors is here: www.ohioana.org/programs/ohioana-book-festival/2019-book-festival-authors/

Interested, but can’t make it to the festival next week? All event programs will be recorded and available for later viewing as well!

The Ohioana Book Festival is free and open to all. You are welcome and encouraged to share this information with your library patrons.
